The program is designed as an amalgamation of MSNBC
stalwarts Countdown with Keith Olbermann and Morning Joe,
ESPN's Pardon the Interruption, and NPR's Car Talk. Spun
together in a one-hour radio show, the program addresses
the hottest topics and most controversial issues in sports,
fitness and wellness, local pop culture, and current affairs
from two insiders that have "lived the Olympic Dream."
The Manny and Eric Show is co-hosted by Marty Nothstein
and Erin Hartwell, the two most successful American track
cyclists of the modern Olympic era. Both presenters are
three-time Olympians with a combined forty years of international
racing experience and fifteen Olympic and world cycling
championship medals between them. Contrasts of opinion,
blue collar yet cultured, globetrotting but world weary,
Marty and Erin energetically bring the wonderful, yet
sometimes sordid, world of international sports to the
Lehigh Valley airwaves.
Together, exercising caustic wit and biting humor while
complimenting each other's broadcasting strengths, the
team brings a unique and experientially opinionated "in
the trenches" point of view to its listening audience.
Although the program is created upon a foundation of serious
thought and discourse in addressing today's relevant athletic,
lifestyle, and cultural issues, humor, opinion, and tangential
discussion are integral to the show's success.
Formatted to flow seamlessly between segments, The Manny
and Eric Show works the edges of serious reporting and
humorous news at a highly structured, yet comfortable,
pace. With breaking news headlines, in-depth features,
rogue reporters, a diary of local news and events, and
inspiring conversation with weekly guests, The Manny and
Eric Show defines the platform of alternative sports talk
